Shipment planned for thanksgiving

A number of our students have been coming to the bus garage every sunday since school started to help prepare the computers we received from Grand Haven schools and GVSU for shipping. All of the computers from Grand Haven are finished and we have a good start on those from Grand Valley. This past Sunday Mr. Jaeger, his in law, and a few volunteers picked up some containers to start packing in. If all continues as planned we should be able to send out a shipment over thanksgiving break.

New fundraiser announced

At this weeks CTEE meeting on wednesday a new fundraiser was created and put together. This December 12th after our traditional stuff the bus outreach project to collect food for the community action house we’re going to host a “rave” or techno dance at one of the high schools. More information on this as it comes together.

Donations from Grand Valley State University

The CTEE received a donation of 50 P4 computer stations from GVSU on September 16 of 2009. Drew, Mike, and Gavin made a trip to pick up these stations and they are currently being loaded and cleaned for shipment to Cameroon. We would like to thank Grand Valley State University for another donation.

Donation received from Grand Haven Public Schools

Recently Grand Haven Public Schools dropped off around one hundred and fifty compaq computers with pentium three processors for us to start work on our next shipment with. I’d like to thank Grand Haven Public Schools on behalf of CTEE and the students in Cameroon for their donation; meanwhile we’re going to start going through the computers and getting them ready for shipping.

The CTEE is happy to announce that its new website is now up and running. We made several changes that our organization see as positive. As we continue to grow, with the continued support of our sponsors and donators, we hope to see more improvements in our organization.
